Accommodation At Our Home

Residents can choose from the different accommodation options available at Ria Abel Home for the Aged that best suit their needs.

Private Flats (Independent Living)

Residents can furnish these flats to their own taste and are required to bring their own basic furniture, entertainment and kitchen appliances. This includes a bed, table, chair or couch, TV, crockery and cutlery and linen.

Private flat accommodation includes a daily meal. Residents may also choose to opt-in for any of the Home’s assisted living services, such as breakfast/dinner, laundry and bed make up, as and when they would like.

Rooms (Assisted Living)

Rooms are regarded as an extension of the Frail Care Centre and there is no additional cost when assistance is provided.

Rooms can be furnished to the taste of the individual. Residents need to supply their own basic furniture. This includes a bed, table, chair or couch. Cupboards and wardrobes are built in.

Size:
Total space:  10 square meters

Frail Care (Total Care)

The Frail Care Centre comprises eleven rooms each with two beds. Occupants of these rooms are either two women or two men. However, when available and if necessary, husbands and wives may share a room.

Wards

Apart from the Frail Care Centre there is also one male and one female ward. Each of these wards comprise two rooms, each room having two beds. The elderly occupants of these wards are mobile, and therefore spend most of the day in the Frail Care Centre sun room.

All of the occupants of the Frail Care Centre or Wards receive 24-hour hands-on care.
